Arriving…

2 06 2008

Well, we just arrived this afternoon to my ministry site for the summer. I finally got to meet my supervisor face-to-face and I got a tour of the church. The church building is smaller than I expected, but it’s very obvious that God is using the people of this church for big things. They definitely have a heart and passion for missions. There’s a whole wall of updates and pictures from missionaries they’ve sent out from their church. In the area of Deaf ministry, she said that they have the biggest Sunday School class of all of them. They run about 16 in their class, which is a pretty good sized Deaf ministry…especially for a small church. I haven’t met the lady that I’m staying with yet…that will be tomorrow. I’ll also get my summer calendar tomorrow morning. I’m really excited about getting started! Please be praying that I’ll be able to easily adjust to life in Michigan…I can already see that it’s very different compared to home…and be praying for the hearts of the people here. Pray that God will be moving and working in each heart. I’ll update again soon!

Sarah,
Glad you are at your site. I was wrong about the church I was in years ago, it was Warren Woods Baptist in Warren.

I enjoyed your signing the music Sunday. I pray that you summer there will be great. I am very glad that you are using your gifts to minister to the deaf. Keep up the good work. I know you will be a blessing to the people there. Take care.
Bob

Oops, sorry two messages ended up on your blog. I didn’t think the first one went through so I did another. But just another opportunity to say God bless you.

So very glad that the waiting is over for you and your time of missions can begin. I am so very proud of you and what God is doing in your life. The song you did Sunday at church was beautiful and each time I see you do it I sense your heart. What and awesome gift you have. Thanks for blessing us by using it and blessing other in Mich. as well. I am praying for you as you begin this new adventure. Blessings

Hi Sarah, I so glad that you made it there safe and sound. Honey, you know I will be praying that God opens many windows for you this summer. I know He has already been giving you glimpses of what your heart truly desires. Sometimes you have to wait until you are much older to really see it, but I don’t think you will have to wait until you are your Grandmother’s age. Praise God! I love you, Hon. Gram

Girl.. you are so in God’s calling for you… what an amazing opportunity for you and great experience. I hate you won’t be here for Tristans birth, but I have a feeling you will be around long, LONG after that so I won’t complain. I need to get an address for you there when you settled in your home. Email me please!! I’ll make sure we get pictures your way of the new little one.
