I ran into the same frustrations trying to learn to play piano. Learn chords, scales, and classical, only to have the end result need chord charts, playinig by ear, and rhythm. But, one builds on the other, and there are definately times I need both. Keep at it! I'm so glad for this experience for you! Thanks for the "link love"!
